It is true that large groups such as Straumann, Danaher, Dentsply Sirona and Zimmer-Biomet alone account for more than 50% of the global dental implant market. The implant manufacturing and distribution market is highly concentrated due to numerous acquisitions and consolidations around the large groups. As a result, it is even more difficult to establish oneself in the manufacturing-distribution sector as an independent company.

However, some German companies have been able to develop, differentiate themselves and even export internationally.

So how does Germany manage to attract and establish itself against the international giants in the sector?
