Leone S.p.A., a leading Italian manufacturer of dental products, has been producing innovative and high-quality products since 1934. Starting from small artisan activities, the company was founded by Mario Pozzi and has since been managed by his son Alessandro and daughter Elena, the company's current Sole Director. The company is committed to continuous product improvement for customer satisfaction and makes significant annual investments for research and technology.
The production and industrial plants cover an area of about 15,000sqm and house production and industrial facilities, where about 160 people work. The "Marco Pozzi" Dental Biotechnology Research Center, located within Leone's facilities, is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and is used for quality control tests, material and surface studies, and technical analyses of new products. In addition, Leone is compliant with UNI EN ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards, ensuring the high quality of all their products.
Leone is also a member of the OMA (Orthodontic Manufacturers Association - USA), which brings together the 12 world manufacturers of orthodontic products. In 2002, the company expanded its production, bringing the "Leone Implant System," a complete line of implant products, to the dental market. 2017 saw the acquisition of LeoneAmerica, a distributor in the U.S. market, and the strengthening of sales activities through investment in the French subsidiary Odontec. Finally, in 2019, from Leone's experience, Digital Service Leone was born, the innovative startup that supports Dentists and Orthodontists with products and tools with high digital content.
Leone also organizes and promotes a wide range of scientific and educational activities for learning and further education. Theoretical and clinical-practical courses in orthodontics or basic and advanced oral surgery are just a few examples of the vast program of technical-scientific training and continuing education for physicians, dental technicians, and commercial practitioners that the company offers. Through the use of new digital channels, moreover, the Lion also complements in-person and hands-on training with distance learning, ensuring continuous educational dissemination. Close collaboration also exists with numerous Italian universities, especially the faculties of Engineering and Medicine and Surgery, with which internships and theses are organized.
