Dental Implants With Internal Connection
The implant connection is the interface between the abutment and the implant. We speak of an internal connection when the male part sits on the abutment and fits into the inner part of the implant ( female part ). The abutment screw connects the two parts together. There are different types of internal connection such as internal hexagon/octagon sockets, but also more specific connections such as Morse taper. They allow the part of the abutment to be fitted into an internal tapered part of the implant (taper within a taper).
Spotimplant references 2362 dental implants with internal connection from 440 different brands.
