In recent years, there has been an increased demand for restoring function during the implant healing period. To some extent, we can attribute this to 1) the increase in immediate placement cases and 2) the growing apprehensions of the patients towards their dental aesthetics. The clinicians use a provisional restoration, principally to address the aesthetic concerns of the patients. The dental laboratory/clinician fabricates these restorations using temporary abutments. They can be extremely helpful in retaining the shape and position of the gingival tissues. The temporary abutments can be of PEEK/Titanium with their excellent biocompatibility and bio-inert properties. Thus, help replicate the natural aesthetics in the upper anterior region.
